CHG - Caracciolo Hospitality Group

Our route as a sustainable company

CHG wants to operate at the service of communities, respecting the environment and the safety of people, with a commitment to ensure a better world for future generations. Our Group wants to be an active part of this transformational process, committing itself to integrate into its business strategies all measures required for the group to become an example of a responsible and innovative company.
The creation of sustainable value and the centrality of Human Capital are the fundamental values on which the Group wants to base its path. They are values which feed and strengthen the commitment and seriousness in this path undertaken, making the processes of cohesion, inclusion and reduction of its environmental impact become priority objectives.

Achievements

ETHICAL CODE: CHG has drawn up its Ethical Code, a document listing all the rights, duties and responsibilities of the company towards its employees, suppliers, customers and shareholders. It is the script that defines the ethical and social responsibilities (both internally and externally) of the Company and the values it embraces.
Also known as the Code of Conduct, it is a Code containing a series of social and moral rules to which all members must comply. Its purpose is to remind everyone, always, of the spirit that drives the Company and its founding principles.

PLASTIC-FREE: CHG is committed on a daily basis to a more responsible plastic consumption, hoping for a significant reduction – and why not, a total elimination – from our facilities and buildings.
The replacement of many plastic products with environmentally friendly and innovative alternatives is an unmissable opportunity to follow up on our commitments to pursue responsible policies.
ENERGY EFFICIENCY: since the period of rising energy costs, at work as well as at home, we have learnt to pay more attention to containing consumption.
By keeping a few things in mind, we could achieve significant value growth for the company, as hotels are particularly energy-consuming.
CHG has therefore preserved the habits acquired by carrying out an energy efficiency project, capable of reducing consumption without compromising comfort levels.
ACADEMY PROJECT: CHG signed a partnership with the Italian Academy of Design to design solutions to promote separate waste collection in the rooms, with the use of appropriate bins for the prestige of the two structures and an ad hoc communication strategy.
INCLUSIVITY: CHG has launched an awareness-raising process on the issue of inclusion, moving towards adapting its facilities to the needs of people with disabilities. In addition, the Group has partnered with the Italian Association of People with Down’s Syndrome (Associazione Italiana Persone Down) to launch training and work placement projects.
SUSTAINABILITY COMMITTEE: The Group has established the Sustainability Committee, a transversal organization of the Structure. The Committee works in support of the CHG and has the mission of overseeing the company’s transformation process, progressively integrating sustainability principles into the company’s strategic choices. It also identifies a number of priority objectives and starts preparatory actions to achieve them.
WASTE CYCLE MANAGEMENT: Starting from the assumption that it is not possible to manage what is not measured, the first actions undertaken served to collect the necessary data and information to plan the way towards proper management of the entire waste cycle.
For this purpose, a task force was set up, consisting of people and functions from all the different departments, with the task of ensuring and planning all activities concerning waste management.
‘BELLA PIAZZA’ PROJECT: CHG, looking beyond its own facilities, is one of the key players in the ‘La Bella Piazza’ project: a project to regenerate, enhance and care for the public spaces of Piazza Garibaldi, with the aim of improving the quality of life in Piazza Garibaldi and in the future expanding to Porta Capuana and Porta Nolana.
This is a fundamental project for several reasons: to promote a sense of responsibility towards the city and its guests; to share how processes of inclusion are the basis of peaceful coexistence; to be actors in a change that concerns our city of Naples.
